English and Mrs. Molina: Facets of an Educator

Students have unique ways of weaving stories. As an assignment, one particular student created a story about her English teacher. Care to take a guess?

The English language can inspire us to go beyond storytelling. It can be an inspiration to dream of all that we can do with our lives. Not only with language, in this case the language of Shakespeare, but with all the intellectual resources available to us.  Ever stop to think of what you might be capable of creating?

Based on what this particular student created, I began to explore all that makes up an educator. Each teacher is a combination of roles that make her who she is at the moment. She is constantly evolving and adapting to what life may throw at her.

As a student, are you also evolving?

Thanks to M. Piñero for her contribution, “Lego Woman.” ~~LMMolina
